I have recently found a podcast about opera news.
I will warn that the hosts do occasionally use foul language.

On the whole this is an awesome podcast. The hosts talk about things going on in the opera world with an energetic and passionate approach. They also don’t have the stuffy attitude that sometimes is present in opera discussions.

Vancouver Symphony’s Mahler Symphony No. 6

Last night I was able to enjoy not only the amazing venue that is the Orpheum theatre here in Vancouver, but also a superb performance of Mahler’s 6th symphony.

Maestro Tovey conducted with such feeling and was able to bring such dynamic contrast and control out of the orchestra it was astounding. It was an amazing evening.

West End Community Choir’s First Concert

I was very excited to be able to participate in this community choir’s first concert.

With just two months of rehearsal the choir sounded together and crisp. Everyone had fun and it showed in our musical performance.

I don’t know if my schedule will allow me to participate in the fall but either way it has been a rewarding experience.
